The purpose of the Job Placement Division is to advance employment opportunites for all individuals with disabilities by:

1. Encouraging, supporting and promoting job placement activities.

2. Promoting wider understanding and vocational acceptance of individuals with disabilities.

3. Encouraging job placement considerations throughout the rehabilitation process.

4. Fostering research and publication of articles on the philosophy, techniques and experience in selective job placement.

5. Developing professional standards for persons and facilities engaged in placement of individuals with disabilities.

6. Conducitng meetings, seminars and clinics to improve the capabilities of effectiveness of those engaged on selective job placement.

7. Developing professional training opportunities for all persons directly in selective placement of individuals with disabilities.

8. Attracting people with interest and initiative into the field of slecetive job placement, elevating the descipline in stature, and encouraging nondiscrimination that impedes the employment of individuals with disabilities.
